🎨🏆 Congratulations to 7th Grade Artist Cayla Grove! 🏆🎨 Freeport Middle School’s own Cayla Grove has earned the prestigious Best in Show award in the middle school category at the 2025 Rosemary Beach Foundation Music in Pictures program! 🎶✨ Inspired by composer Max Richter’s masterpiece "On the Nature of Daylight," Cayla created "A Dance of Deceit," a breathtaking mixed media artwork that showcases her exceptional technical skills and powerful storytelling. 🖌️🎭 You can see her award-winning piece on display at Amavida Coffee in Rosemary Beach—don’t miss this incredible artwork! 👏 Join us in celebrating Cayla’s achievement! 🌿🔬 Hands-On Learning at Biophilia! 🦎🐍 Last week, our 7th-grade students had an amazing opportunity to visit Biophilia and dive into hands-on science lessons! From exploring fascinating exhibits to getting up close with reptiles, our Bulldogs had an unforgettable learning experience. 🐢✨ A huge thank you to the incredible staff at Biophilia for hosting our students and making science come to life in such an engaging way! 👏📚 #FMSBulldogs

📚✨ Literacy Week Highlights! ✨📚 Check out these two amazing moments from our Literacy Week celebrations! 🎉 📖 Avery Newton is pictured with Mr. Smith after winning the Tissue Box Contest for her creative design inspired by her favorite book series, Wings of Fire! 🐉🔥 📚 Mr. Smith was also busy bringing stories to life, reading a schoolwide story written by our students during each lunch period. The story was created in a unique way—each ELA class added a sentence, building a hilarious and unpredictable tale! 😂 We can’t wait to share the full story once our book cover winner is announced! 🚐✨ FMS 7th Grade AVID Visits Gulf Coast State College! 🎓🔬🎭 Our 7th Grade AVID students had an incredible opportunity to visit Gulf Coast State College, where they explored a variety of exciting classrooms and labs! From 3D printing and drone technology to theater, culinary arts, and tech labs, our Bulldogs got a hands-on look at the possibilities that await them in higher education and future careers. This experience opened their eyes to new opportunities and reinforced the importance of staying college- and career-ready!
