Honoring the Month of the Military Child at FMS As part of our Month of the Military Child celebration, Ms. Campfield's History class had the privilege of hosting MSgt. Willingham, who shared powerful stories from his military service. He spoke about the true meaning of patriotism and how serving his country deepened his appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy. Our students were fully engaged—hanging on to every word—and walked away with a greater understanding of what it means to serve and sacrifice. 🎖️ Thank you, MSgt. Career Day at FMS! 🔍🎓 Last Friday, our students had an incredible opportunity to explore their futures during Career Day! They rotated through sessions with professionals from a wide range of fields—park rangers, shipyard workers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, engineers, military personnel, realtors, marketing experts, entrepreneurs, carpenters, law enforcement officers, IT specialists, NWFSC staff, artists, musicians, and WCSD employees. Students not only learned about various career paths but were also able to ask meaningful questions and gain real-world insight. 💬✨ A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for orchestrating this valuable event and to all the professionals who took time to pour into our students. What an incredible afternoon at Freeport Middle School! Our Heroes Reception was a heartwarming celebration honoring the brave men and women who serve and protect our community and country. It was an honor to welcome these heroes into our school and express our gratitude for their service and sacrifice. This special event was the perfect way to close out the Month of the Military Child—a time when we recognize the strength, resilience, and courage of military-connected students and their families. What a Day for Freeport Middle School at the Special Olympics! Our amazing Bulldogs lit up the 2025 Special Olympics with their heart, hustle, and Bulldog spirit! We are beyond proud of every student who competed and represented Freeport Middle School with pride, determination, and sportsmanship. A huge shoutout to our Leadership students who made signs, cheered, and lined the halls to send our athletes off and welcome them back like champions! 🎉 Big Congratulations to Trevon Evans! 🎉 Trevon qualified for State in the Shot Put after a huge personal record performance at the district meet! 💪 He brought home silver medals from both Districts and Regionals, and he's not done yet! Coach Cole had this to say: “It has been an absolute pleasure to coach Trevon. He is an extremely hard worker, and it shows in his performances. 🎉 Change for Children Campaign Has Begun! 🎉 Bulldogs, the Change for Children Campaign kicked off TODAY, and we’re turning it into a fun competition! 💰 💥 Here’s how it works: Students can bring in change (or bills!) all week and vote by placing their money in the container of the teacher they want to see pied in the face at Friday's Pep Rally! 🥧😂 The teacher with the most money will get a pie straight to the face! 👒 Don’t forget — Friday is Hat Day! Students can bring $1 to wear their favorite hat and add to the campaign total! Let’s make a difference and have some fun while we’re at it! #FMSBulldogs
