In compliance with the Money-back Guarantee program Senate Bill 240 (2023) amended section (s.) 1011.803, Florida Statutes (F. S.) the above-listed six (6) Career and Technical Education programs will be subject to the Money-back Guarantee Program. Self-paid students in these programs have 30 days to apply six (6) months after their program completion date. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Emerald Coast Technical College will provide the Money-Back Guarantee if the following conditions are met:

• Student must have been self-paid and not received federal/state grants, scholarships, or third-party/employer funding.

• Student must have completed an eligible program and been unable to obtain employment in their field within six (6) months of completion.

  • Completion includes:

    1. Receiving a program certificate

    2. Passing the required industry credential or licensure exam within three (3) months of completion

• Student must meet attendance requirements per the ECTC Student Handbook (90% or higher).

• Student must meet program performance and conduct standards as outlined in the Student Handbook.

• Student must provide job search documentation showing at least 25 applications and 10 good-faith interviews in their field.

• Student must register with Employ Florida and provide proof of registration.

All criteria must be met when submitting a request for a tuition refund.
