This is a message from Superintendent Carlene Anderson. We have been notified by the Walton County Sheriff department that there has been an escaped inmate from Louisiana in the South Walton area. All schools will be open, but in a modified lock down situation with additional security provided by the Walton County Sheriff Department. Buses will run their regular routes. You may drop students off as usual; however, if you make the decision to not send your child to school today it will be considered an excused absence. All precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of your child at shcool. Due to the lock down situation, only employees and security personnel will be allowed in the school until further notice. You will be provided more information when we receive it from the sheriff department.

New Teacher Orientation

July 31, 2015

On Thursday, July 30th, new teacher hires with 3 or less years of experience participated in a full day of learning teaching strategies and what to expect during the first few days of school.  A big thank you goes out to Walmart and Winn Dixie for donating gift cards to assist in the cost for providing breakfast and lunch for our new teachers and to Ed's Restaurant for providing their delicious chicken salad at cost!
