BES Christmas greeting from Portugal

December 28, 2016

Second graders in Mrs. Jersey’s class have been researching weather/climate in Brazil as part of the Interdisciplinary study BES is participating in this year. Students created Christmas cards based on their research. The cards were displayed throughout December & then sent home to parents. “Feliz Natal” , Merry Christmas in Portuguese! SWHS Receives Grant from St. Joe Community Foundation

December 20, 2016

Janet Greeno, representing the St. Joe Community Foundation, presented a check for $20,000 to SWHS Assistant Principal Jimmy Ross and Principal Alexis Tibbetts to be used to expand and beautify the outdoor eating area at SWHS. Submitted by Barbara Stratton.

 

MHS Student Attends the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra

December 20, 2016

Makayla Galloway of Mossy Head School was recommended by her music teacher, Krystina Lyon, to attend the Kids at the Symphony Program.  On December 9, 2016, at 7:30 PM, Makayla attended the Holiday Pops performance with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra at the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center.  Makayla was recommended to attend due to her good behavior and involvement in the Mossy Head Choir Program.  Makayla is pictured with Superintendent Russell Hughes.  Congratulations on your recognition. Mossy Head School Enjoys a “Snowy” Day

Garrett Shost Receives Academic Top Scholar Award

The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) has identified 2015-16 high school graduates for the Bright Futures (BF) Academic Top Scholar (ATS) awards for the 2016-17 year.
Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) who received funding for the fall term at an eligible Florida postsecondary institution are ranked based on the product of their highest Bright Futures GPA and their best SAT® combined or ACT® composite score as reported for their FAS award eligibility. OSFA notifies each Academic Top Scholar of their award.
The Academic Top Scholar in your county, Walton, is Garrett Shost from Seacoast Collegiate High School.
