WMS Salutes Veterans

On Thursday, November 10th, Walton Middle School held its 44th annual Veterans Day program.  Over 130 veterans and their families attended.  Students made local vets and their families feel welcome and appreciated from the beginning of the ceremony to the end.  Students held doors, performed, saluted, and hosted a reception for guests.  WMS can't thank our veterans enough for their service to our country. Muffins with Moms at WDE

WDE had their annual Muffins with Mom event on November 16th. The event was well attended with over 400 mothers and/or grandmothers participating. Submitted by Jessica Dawkins.
Freeport Middle School art and band students attended a special "Music in Pictures" presentation sponsored by the Rosemary Beach Foundation.  Two violinists presented music and art history to the students.  The Foundation brings music to the art students of Walton County, culminating in an art show and celebration of art and music in the Spring. WISE Center Pre-K Happenings

This week the WISE Center Pre-K have been busy with Muffins with Moms, Donuts with Dads and Thanksgiving Lunch. Submitted by Debbie McBroom.
Congratulations to these two amazing ECTC employees. Theresa Bolton (left) and April Chambless (right) have been chosen as ECTC’s Teacher of the year (Theresa) and Educational Support Person of the year (April). We are very proud to have them on our team. Submitted by Carol Rothgeb/FB.
The Superintendent and Walton County School Board Members recognized and presented the Freeport High School Girls Volleyball Team for Honorable Sportsmanship with a resolution. Mr. Hope introduced the Freeport High Girls Volleyball Team that was in attendance; Catherine Meyer, Coach, Katherine Deems, Assistant Coach, Monica Morgan, Freshman, and Isabella Guardia, Freshman. The Resolution was read by Chairperson Jason Catalano. The Freeport Girls Volleyball Team were competing on Thursday, September 22, 2016 against Bozeman High School from Panama City, Florida, during the game an medical emergency occurred with one of the Bozeman Team members.
