WDE Literacy Week

During literacy week at WDE, some of the first grade classes encouraged reading by "reading outside for fun". Mrs. Melinda Bailey's & Mrs. Carla Sconiers' classes read outside after lunch on the playground. The students read independently and then completed AR quizzes on their chosen books. Dr. Alexis Tibbetts and James Ross, Principals of SWHS, Facilitate a Learning Experience for the Principalship - SAIL Academy with PAEC

On January 31st, Dr. Alexis Tibbetts, SWHS Principal, and James Ross, SWHS Assistant Principal, facilitated a session on Courageous Conversations offered through the PAEC SAIL Academy. This program is for those educators who wish to have Principalship added to their State of Florida teaching certificate. Some of the topics that participants learned about were classroom walk-throughs, reflective feedback and clarifying action steps. This was a beneficial experience for those involved.
