Secondary Math Teachers Attend Boot Camp!
June 14, 2018
WCSD Secondary math teachers attended Math Boot Camp on June 13th and 14th at the Carlene H Anderson Training Center. Teachers worked collaboratively with their peers from across the district to strengthen math instruction and curriculum utilization. On the second day, Christine Petersen shared digital resources for teachers to use for data driven instruction. On June 14th, special guest Darnell from Math Nation shared best practices and new tools for our teachers and students. We would like to thank our Teachers and Katie Moore for this EPIC Math experience for all.

In early June, Laurie Langford, Allie Spiva, and Katie Moore attended professional development through Instructional Partners. This PD opportunity provided the attendees time to develop content as facilitators for the Instructional Partners Standards Boot Camps across Florida. Standards Boot Camp attendees will dig deeper into content (what to teach) and content pedagogy (how to teach that particular content). We look forward to hosting our own Instructional Partners Standards Boot Camp here in Walton County.
