Florida Statute 1002.31 states that beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, each district school board shall allow a parent from any school district in the state whose child is not subject to a current expulsion or suspension to enroll his or her child in and transport his or her child to any public school that has not reached capacity in the district, subject to the maximum class size.

The School Board of Walton County has adopted a policy guiding Controlled Open Enrollment as required by law under Florida Statute 1002.31.  For more information on Walton County's Controlled Open Enrollment Policy and Status, please CLICK HERE.

A student will not be allowed to register at a school outside their attendance zone without an approved Controlled Open Enrollment Application.  Controlled Open Enrollment Applications can be picked up at the school you would like for your child to attend.
Forms can be picked up at the school office between 8:00 am and 2:30 pm or downloaded and printed below using the type-on forms.  The application, student contract and supporting documents should be turned into the school office once completed.  The review and decision process can take up to two weeks.
