Thanks to the generosity of the Dugas Family Foundation, every child at Maude Saunders was allowed to select a book from the school’s Book Fair.  The Foundation teamed up with the school and Scholastic to ensure that no child left the book fair empty-handed.  The Dugas Family Foundation is committed to supporting literacy through their  “All for Books” program. Superintendent Hughes is keeping in constant contact with community partners and the Governor of Florida to make sure he has the most up-to-date information regarding the weather.  It is his goal to make sure that the students of Walton County are kept safe and parents are provided with information concerning district actions in a timely manner.

In the event of an emergency you will receive notifications from the Walton County School District or your child’s school.  It is pertinent that your child’s contact information is up-to-date.

Please monitor our webpage at www.walton.k12.fl.us for emergency notifications.  We will make every effort to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Students in Mrs. Cameron's third grade class learned to work cooperatively to solve problems the first week of school . The students had to create solutions to various problems in order to find hidden school supplies, and ultimately "save the principal" in a fun team-building activity. "Teamwork sparks success" and these third graders are off to a great start! Submitted by Krisy Spence.
